Boca Raton is one of Palm Beach County’s most desirable locations, characterized by well-maintained city streets and public buildings, stable residential neighborhoods, excellent public and private schools, an expansive park system, and a pristine coastline.  Located in the southeastern corner of Palm Beach County with direct access to both I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, Boca Raton offers a range of housing options, including single family, condominium, townhome, and rental apartment communities.  The different housing types within Boca Raton support varied price points, with small single family homes starting at $150,000 and large estate homes easily surpassing $20,000,000.

Residential communities within Boca Raton are typically characterized by their location in East Boca, Central Boca or West Boca.  East Boca, or the portion of the City located east of I-95 that extends to the coast, includes all housing types.  High dollar luxury estate homes and condominiums line the majority of the coast and Intracoastal Waterway while high-end mid-rise apartments and condominiums characterize downtown Boca Raton.  Downtown Boca Raton runs adjacent to Federal Highway (US 1) and supports a number of restaurants, shops and professional office buildings.  The majority of middle class, primarily 1960’s and 1970’s vintage single-family homes, is located west of the downtown area and extends to I-95.

Central Boca Raton, which extends from I-95 to Powerline Road, is home to numerous middle and upper-class single family home communities.  Most of these single family communities are either gated or are located within exclusive private country clubs.  West Boca, which extends west from Powerline Road past State Road 7, is known for offering the best value in terms of home price per square foot.  West Boca communities are typically gated and may or may not include golf course amenities.
